LAKE RULES

Following our rules combined with some common sense will maximise your carp fishing holiday with us. These rules are put in place for the safety of you as our guests and the well being of our carp. Anyone breaking these rules will be asked to leave without a refund.

 General Rules:

  • 3 Rods maximum per angler. Rods must be attended at all times.

  • Swims to be kept free of litter. (Including cigarette butts).

  • Bait Boats are allowed 

  • No swimming is permitted 

  • Wildlife, lakeside vegetation and trees should not be harmed or damaged.

  • No fires or naked flames.

 Rig Rules: Hooks, Lines & Rigs:

  • No braided main line.

  • Braided rigs must be coated.

  • 15lbs minimum breaking strain main line.

  • Barbless or micro barbed hooks only

  • Only semi-fixed or running rigs are accepted (inline or using a safety clip system). No fixed rigs.

  • No helicopter or chod rigs.

  • No Zig fishing.

  • Rig tubing only (a minimum length of 300mm)

​Fish Care: 

  • Carp care is paramount

  • Fish should not be out of the water for any longer than is absolutely necessary, therefore please prepare all equipment needed prior to taking the fish from the water

  • Whilst picture taking, please do not stand up with the fish

  • Retaining and sacking of fish is not allowed

 Bait Rules:

  • No nuts of any kind are permitted on the fishery

  • No maize allowed

  • Pellets must be of good quality and used in moderation 

  • At the end of the session please do not dump any of your bait into the lake

These rules have been put in place to protect the wellbeing of our fish and lake. They must be adhered to. There are no exceptions. If you have any questions about the rules, please don’t hesitate to ask.
